This is our forecast for today:
“Douglas and Elbert Counties will likely see 6 to 12 inches of snow along with very gusty winds. The combination of falling and blowing snow will reduce visibility to less than a quarter mile. In other words, blizzard conditions are possible along the Palmer Divide, especially during the morning on Thursday.”
Yeah, I’m loving it…
Spring is nice of course… the warmth of the sun, working in the garden, playing outside with the animals… but I was really hoping for one more good snow storm before winter cleared out completely.
It looks like I’m going to get it.
I’m glad I planned ahead and filled the bird feeder last night…

Our little black Sweet Pea was looking more like salt and pepper this morning…

And Quin was enjoying his regular snowy day activity of digging his face down into the snow.

Blaze and the goats are staying in their stalls (if you look closely you can just see Blaze in the door of his stall)

Although Blaze did come out to say hello to me…

I love the way the place looks when it’s covered with snow.

We’ll probably stay in the rest of the day… The wind out there really is fierce. I’m going to have to think of something to keep the kids occupied, after the spring we’ve enjoyed the past few weeks, they are pretty cranky about all this snow.

Oh, it’s so beautiful! We are having rain and some thunderstorms, which i also enjoy. It looks like a good day for hot cocoa and old movies.
(The anti-spam word was once again appropriate to your post!)
So are we. I haven’t quite decided yet if I’m happy or cranky about it. I am so ready for snow. Tuesday I cleaned out the flowerbeds and watered the front yard. In fact my lawn tractor is still out there.
Oh, wow! I guess that’s why you’re in a snow state, and I’m not . . . LOL! I was born and raised in a snow state (Michigan), and always hibernated even as a child.
I love North Carolina because it has the four seasons (to help one appreciate each of the others), but spring comes early (or on time, in my book) and fall runs late; both my favorite seasons. So, today is supposed to be sunny and mid 70s . . . woohoo, first 70s, and our lawn really needs to be mowed (first time in the new house!)
“Enjoy” your storm (?)(!) LOL!

RYC: Sorry, i forgot that you don’t see the anti-spam word. It was enjoy! And about your question about the book i’m reading; yes, it is very good. It is very funny without being ridiculous, if you know what i mean. The author has 2 or 3 more books that follow the one i’m reading. Let me know what you think of it.
Wow, looks to be a pretty good snow storm for April…but I guess that isn’t too out of the ordinary, is it? It has been so long since I’ve lived in CO I really have to think hard to remember. We have got crystal clear skies with a very chilly breeze. Enjoy your last (?) snowstorm!
You can have all of my snow! Just come and get it please.
I’m so sick and allergic of this stuff.
We had so much fun yesterday in the snow, Maisy had the most fun! She’s like Quinn, she loves digging in the snow, she was rolling around too. Crazy dog.
You could draw snowflakes or do some indoor gardening!
I think the wind blew harder here than at your house… your pictures look so serene, and I got pasted in the face with fierce little “needle-flakes” every time I went outside! Quinn looks so happy…. and I love that Blaze is coming outside to say hello. That is a really good sign of things to come…..
